Photos: 14-year-old girl sexually assaulted by her father has been rescued and reunited with her mum

A 14 year old girl whose father had the habit of inserting his fingers in her vagina to check if she is still a virgin at their home in Enugu state, has been rescued and reunited with her mother.

Activist, Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison, who shared the story online, said the young girl ran to his NGO, to confide in officials about what she had been going through.

She was taken away from her father's house and handed over to her mum. The father has since gone underground and as since refused to honor all police invitations.

Her father who is an expert in checking virginity, lubricated his fingers and inserted into her daughter's private part and caused her bleeding.

She ran away and confided in us and we quickly reported the case to the Police. The father refused to honour police invitation when called by the DPO. #Arrest
